The rules of engagement, written in plain English.
These terms govern your use of avantscale.co and, where you’ve signed a separate service agreement with us, they fill in anything that agreement doesn’t already cover. Read the summary if you’re short on time, or the full sections below if you want the detail.

Plain-language summary
- We do real SEO/AEO/GEO work. We don’t promise a specific ranking or a specific number — nobody honest can, and Google says so too.
- Our Citation Guarantee is a specific, defined commitment about our process — it’s explained fully in Section 4, not left vague.
- Deliverables (site content, reports, campaign assets) become yours once paid in full; our underlying methods and tools stay ours.
- Retainer fees are invoiced in advance; invoices are typically due within 15 days of issue.
- After the 3-month initial term, either side can end an engagement with 30 days’ written notice, details in Section 9.
- AvantScale is the website and marketing brand used by Francis Dave Rutor Mendoza, a self-employed professional based in Quezon City, Philippines. In these Terms, “AvantScale,” “we,” and “us” refer to Francis Dave Rutor Mendoza.
Section 1
Acceptance of terms
By accessing avantscale.co, submitting a form on this site, or engaging Francis Dave Rutor Mendoza through the AvantScale brand for services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you’re agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind that company.
Where you’ve signed a separate written service agreement or statement of work with AvantScale, that document governs the specifics of your engagement (scope, price, timeline). These Terms fill any gaps it doesn’t address and continue to apply to your use of this website regardless.
Section 2
Our services
AvantScale provides digital growth services including but not limited to:
- SEO (Search Engine Optimization) — improving organic visibility on traditional search engines.
- AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) — improving the likelihood of being cited by AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Gemini.
- GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) — improving visibility in AI-generated search overviews such as Google AI Overviews.
- Local SEO — Google Business Profile optimization, map pack visibility, and citation and listings consistency.
- PPC campaigns — paid search and social advertising on platforms including Google Ads and Meta.
- AI-powered content with human review, AI accuracy protection, smart social media management, and citation and review management.
- Website design, build and ongoing management (WordPress/Gutenberg), graphic design and brand identity, and monthly performance reporting and analytics.
The specific services, deliverables, timeline, and price for your engagement are set out in your proposal, statement of work, or service agreement — not in these general Terms.
Section 3
No guaranteed results
Search engines and AI models are run by third parties (Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft, and others) whose algorithms, guidelines, and behavior AvantScale does not control and cannot predict with certainty. No agency — including AvantScale — can guarantee a specific ranking position, a specific volume of traffic, or that any particular query will surface your brand in an AI-generated answer.
What we do commit to is described in your service agreement as specific, measurable activities — for example, technical fixes implemented, content published, structured data deployed, and citations tracked across defined answer engines on a defined cadence. We report on outcomes honestly, including when results are slower than hoped, rather than promising numbers we can’t control.
Section 4
The Citation Guarantee, explained
AvantScale’s “Citation Guarantee” is a commitment about how we work, not about results. It sits alongside Section 3 and does not override it. For every retainer account, it means:
- We track the priority questions agreed in your service agreement on the answer engines named there, every month, and show you where your business appears and where it doesn’t.
- When an AI answer conflicts with the facts you’ve approved, we log the discrepancy with its likely source and a severity rating.
- We propose a correction for each logged discrepancy and apply it at the source, where we have access, only after you approve it.
- A human specialist reviews and signs off on all work before it is published or delivered to you.
- Your monthly report shows what we tested, what we found and what we changed.
This is a guarantee of process and transparency. AvantScale does not guarantee rankings, traffic, revenue, patient volume, review removal, or inclusion in any third-party AI answer, and no such guarantee is made or implied here or in your service agreement.
Section 5
Client responsibilities
Timely results depend on both sides. As a client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate business information and prompt access to necessary accounts (website, Google Business Profile, analytics) when requested.
- Review and approve content, structured data, or published claims within a reasonable time, so schedules aren’t delayed on our end.
- Tell us about material business changes (services, locations, claims you can legally make) that affect what we publish on your behalf.
- Keep your own login credentials secure and notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.
Section 6
Payment terms
- Invoicing — retainer fees are invoiced in advance of the service period unless your agreement states otherwise; project-based fees follow the milestone schedule in your proposal.
- Due date — invoices are due per the terms stated on the invoice, typically 15 days from issue.
- Late payment — accounts more than 15 days past due may have work paused until the balance is settled, and may accrue interest at a rate disclosed on the invoice, where permitted by law.
- Refunds — fees for work already performed are non-refundable. If we haven’t started work in a billed period, contact us and we’ll work out a fair resolution.
- Currency and taxes — fees are quoted and billed as stated in your agreement; you’re responsible for any taxes applicable in your jurisdiction unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing.
Section 7
Intellectual property
What becomes yours
Once you’ve paid in full for a deliverable — website copy, blog content, on-page changes, ad creative, reports — it’s yours to use. We don’t hold your website or content hostage after an engagement ends.
What stays ours
AvantScale retains ownership of our underlying methodologies, internal tools, templates, tracking frameworks, and any proprietary processes used to produce your deliverables. Nothing in an engagement transfers ownership of AvantScale’s own business IP, even where it was used to create something delivered to you.
Your existing materials
You retain ownership of your logos, trademarks, and any content or data you provide to us. You grant AvantScale a license to use these materials solely to perform the agreed services. We describe completed work for you as a case study or portfolio piece only with written client approval before publishing, covering the specific wording and figures used. We may describe our process in anonymized form that does not identify you.
Section 8
Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential information (business data, account access, strategy discussions, pricing) private and use it only for the purposes of the engagement. This obligation survives termination of any service agreement. For how we handle personal data specifically, see our Privacy Policy.
Section 9
Term and termination
Retainers start with a 3-month initial term unless your service agreement states otherwise. After that, engagements run month-to-month and either party may terminate with 30 days’ written notice by email. Fees for work performed up to the termination date remain payable.
AvantScale may suspend or terminate services immediately if payment is significantly overdue, if you request work that would violate applicable law or a platform’s terms of service (for example, manipulative link schemes or fabricated reviews), or if continuing the relationship becomes commercially unreasonable for either party.
On termination, we’ll provide a reasonable handover of account access and completed deliverables you’ve paid for.
Section 10
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AvantScale’s total liability arising from any engagement is limited to the fees paid to AvantScale for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the three months preceding the claim. AvantScale is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business opportunity, including where these result from third-party platform changes (such as a search engine or AI model updating its algorithm) outside our control.
This site and our services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as liability for fraud or gross negligence.
Section 11
Third-party platforms
Our services often involve or reference third-party platforms — Google, Meta, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, hosting providers, and others. AvantScale is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, policies, or behavior of these platforms, including algorithm changes that affect your visibility. Use of any third-party platform is subject to that platform’s own terms.
Section 12
Acceptable use of this site
You agree not to misuse avantscale.co — including attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems, submitting fraudulent or spam form entries, scraping the site at scale, or using it to distribute malware. We may block access from any source we reasonably believe is doing so.
Section 13
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For clients based outside the Philippines, your signed service agreement may specify a different governing law or dispute resolution process — where it does, that provision controls over this section.
Before pursuing formal action, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith through direct discussion.
Section 14
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Effective” date above when we do, and for material changes affecting active clients, we’ll provide notice by email. Continued use of the site or continued engagement after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Change log (these terms were first published on September 15, 2026):
October 7, 2026: Section 4 (the Citation Guarantee) rewritten to describe our process only. Section 7 now requires written client approval before any case study or portfolio piece is published.
